Iseul · privacy policy
Your words stay yours.
Iseul runs no server and has no accounts. Your progress lives on your iPhone and, if you leave iCloud sync on, in your own iCloud account through Apple's CloudKit — where we cannot read it.
What Iseul collects
Nothing that identifies you. Purchases are handled by Apple's in-app purchase system; RevenueCat, our subscription provider, receives an anonymous identifier and your purchase history to tell the app whether Iseul+ is active. This is declared on the App Store as "Purchases — not linked to you".
Camera and photos
When you point Iseul at Korean text, the image is read on your iPhone with Apple's on-device text recognition. Images never leave your phone and are not stored by Iseul.
Analytics and tracking
None. Iseul writes local diagnostic logs on your device only and does not track you across apps or sites.
Notifications
Optional, asked only after you have used the app for a few days, at most one a day, and switchable off in Settings.
Data export and deletion
Export everything from Settings at any time. Deleting the app deletes its data on the phone; turning iCloud sync off and deleting the app's iCloud data in Settings › iCloud removes the synced copy.
